Use timers and log timed or cardio exercises

Understand workout duration, rest timing, and exercise-specific fields.

Use the right timer

Workout duration tracks the session. The rest timer is a countdown between work. Exercise timing and duration fields record time for a movement. These controls serve different purposes, so finishing a rest countdown is not the same as completing a workout or recording a cardio set.

  1. Use the rest-timer control in the workout header to start a rest countdown.
  2. Expand the running timer when you want a larger display, or cancel it from its control.
  3. Review Auto Timer in Workout Settings if you want rest timing to start after set completion.
  4. Use the exercise or row timing controls for the movement you are recording. Check its saved duration before completing the row.

Enter the fields the exercise supports

Timed holds such as Plank use duration. Cardio fields depend on the selected exercise: Treadmill supports Time, Dist, Speed, and Incline; Stair Climber and Elliptical use their supported time and speed fields.

Duration can be entered manually when the relevant timer is idle. Quick Capture can add a cardio exercise by name, but it does not replace the cardio metric fields. Enter those values on the cardio row.

Use tools without losing your place

Workout Tools provides the workout calculator for quick arithmetic. If a Weight field is focused first, OK can insert the result into that field. Without a focused Weight field, the calculator remains a scratchpad.

Check units before accepting a result or entering distance and speed. The calculator does not turn a value into a completed set, and exercise timing can stop without marking unfinished sets complete. Review the row completion state separately.
