Replace a movement
- Open the menu for the exercise you want to change.
- Choose the replacement action and review any suggested alternatives.
- Choose Open Exercise Picker if you want to browse beyond the suggestions.
- Select the replacement and read any warning about different logging fields.
- Check the resulting exercise, its position, and its set values before continuing.
Understand what a replacement changes
A replacement affects the current workout. It does not rename a catalog entry or change every past use of that movement. When a replacement uses different fields, values such as reps, weight, time, distance, speed, or incline may no longer be visible in the same way.
The field warning explains that existing set data is preserved. That is still a reason to inspect the visible rows: a retained value is not necessarily a suitable target for a different movement. In a structured Program, read any additional warning before changing prescribed work.
Organize the list
Use the exercise menu to move the exercise within the workout or within its group. For a superset, giant set, or circuit, group-level movement controls move the section together. Use group actions when you want the members to stay together.
Collapse exercise cards when you want a shorter list, then expand the relevant card to edit it. Removing an exercise is different from collapsing it: removal takes its work out of the current draft. Review which card or group owns the menu before using a remove action.
