Supported motion counting
Watch can detect motion for supported rep-and-weight exercise families: bench or chest presses, arm curls, triceps movements, shoulder presses, and shoulder raises. Support depends on the exercise name and available motion data. It does not cover every exercise; timed exercises use their own controls. Leg curls are not treated as arm curls.
- Detection runs for the current unfinished rep-and-weight set.
- Detected repetitions update the displayed value.
- Wrist position, pauses, movement, and calibration can affect counts.
- Review and correct the final count before completing the set.
Correct a count
Select reps and adjust with the Digital Crown. Check the starting value for a new set, especially if a planned or earlier count is already displayed. Detection adds movement to the displayed count; it remains an editable workout entry. Completing the set stops detection for that set.
Refresh a stale workout
Cached data can remain visible while iPhone is unavailable. Refresh queued or a request to finish syncing means the latest state is not confirmed. Restore the device connection and retry if refresh fails.
- Open InMotus on paired iPhone and confirm the correct active workout.
- Open Exercise Options on Watch and choose Sync from iPhone.
- Wait for the update or read the connection message.
- Compare exercise, set values, and completion state on both devices.
